Deconstruct

use to tell my mom I would not eat anything unless I saw her eat it to prove to me she liked it. The kids in this commercial are doing the same thing. I think this commercial is really cute and that is why I thought this would be a good one to deconstruct. This commercial has association in it because it is using fisher price which is something that people already like so they are hoping it will help those people like life cereal too. This commercial used bandwagon showing kids that other kids are eating it so they should too. I think it also kinda had a little bit of humor in it showing that this kid doesn't like anything then saying he likes something that is healthy for him when the other children don't. It uses plain folks so people can relate to them eating breakfast because many celebrates don't eat cereal for breakfast so people wouldn't really relate to them. It has warm and fuzzy in it by showing the cute kids and making parents think it is cute to have their kids eat the same cereal. I think all these are in this commercial and that is why I think this commercial does so good.

Super Bowl

  They get paid for the spot so they could care less because they think money is money. They don't think about the people watching the show. They don't consider what these ads will tell people or how people will react to them. They just care about filling their spots and getting the money for doing it. They just don't pay attention to what they are promoting.

Childhood and TV

I was not allowed to watch much tv when i was a young girl. I was always told to go outside and play and be active and not sit in front of the tv and do nothing. I think this has helped me as a young adult. It has made me active so I am not going to be obese by sitting around doing nothing and it has shown me that not sitting and watching tv is a good thing and I will now pass that down to my son.

TV Ratings

I think tv rating are a good idea. I think that they help protect children from things they shouldn't see or hear. I feel like an adult might not say something in front of children but then they would say it on tv hoping no children were watching or listening. This is were the ratings come in to stop children or at least warn the parents that this is going to have some bad things in it that they might not want their kids to hear or see.

voting

I am on the fence about if I think just one vote "Mine" counts. There is part of me thinking there is so many people voting why does my one little vote matter? There is also a part of me that thinks hey what if it came down to only needing one vote to say who won and then I didn't vote, that could be my vote that says who wins, I could be that important. I think it all depends on how you look at it which helps how you feel about it. I have not voted yet because at the time I was not old enough but I don' think I would have voted last year because of all the different things that were said about both parties that I was not sure which I wanted to believe. Guess i'm leaving the people decide who should be in office this time.

Character

I think character is a good thing,  I think it should be what wins something. I mean a person with great character in all he does can win a election but if he has a family problem or is handicap in someway things change. Why is that? Same with if someone doesn't look handsome or super nice they don't get considered as good as the ones who looks amazing even if their intentions are better. I think people should focus on character more and stop worrying about what people look like or if something is not perfect on them. It is what they can bring into this world and who they can help is all that should matter.

Downloading Music

I think there should be some music that it is okay to download freely. I mean with the economy how it is and all the job losses there are not that many people that can go out and buy all the different Cd's that are out there to hear the couple songs they like. I also don't think that if people get caught downloading illegally that they should have to pay so much, I mean come on a download is .99 cents so why are the courts making people pay hundreds and thousands of dollars for one song. What is right about that? I think there is a thin line about how fair the courts are being with this music downloading thing.
